Only one week is left before the start of the Deaflympics in Khanty-Mansiysk and Magnitogorsk! Personnel of AJ Hackett Sochi Skypark wanted to show its support from the capital of the XXII Winter Deaflympics.
Valentina Kazakova made a bangee jump from Skybridge – the longest suspension bridge in the world – keeping a sign with the number of days left before the start of the Games. The Skypark is placed in a picturesque area of Akhshtyrskoye gorge 207 meters above the sea level.
It is to be noted that during the last two weeks the countdown of the days left before the Deaflympics was done by prize-winners and champions of Olympic and Paralympic Games. The flashmob was joined by the Olympic medalist and a two-time world champion in ice-hockey Iliya Kovalchuk, the Olympic medalist in snowboarding Nikolay Olyunin, the Olympic champion in bob-sleigh Dmitry Trunenkov, the Olympic champions in figure skating Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitry Soloviev and others.
It is to be reminded that Deaflympics will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk and Magnitogorsk from March’28 till April’05. The program of the Games includes the following disciplines – snowboarding, ice-hockey, cross-country skiing, curling and alpine skiing. Athletes from 27 countries will participate in the Deaflympics. The national team of Russia includes 76 athletes from 16 country regions.
