The captain of Canadian team Steve Devine: This was a hard game. We managed to score 2 goals that were easy and we are happy to win. Our aim is to get the gold medal of the tournament. Currently we are doing everything right and all our plans are coming true. I’d not say that the game was tough. Finland knows how to use hits and checks that’s why in this aspect the game was played on equal terms. I’d like to say that refereeing of the game was very professional. Our next game is against Russia. They are at home and feel very motivated, besides, they are as well-trained as we are.

The head coach of team of Finland Janne Salmela: Today both teams were playing a real hockey. I’d like to mention that our team usually plays tougher but today we were not very aggressive in the game. We missed many opportunities to score during our powerplay. Canada, on the contrary, used all their chances for scoring.
