Russia wins men’s cross-country relay

Today is the second day of the competitions of the Deaflympics in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Russian cross-country skiers continue to get gold medals of the competitions, today they won men’s relay 10 km classic + 2×10 km free.

5 countries have participated in the relay: Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, China and Kazakhstan. Russian relay squad included Sergey Yermilov, Vladimir Mayorov and Alexey Groshev. The race was very tight, from the very beginning of the relay 3 leaders of the competition were defined – Russia, Ukraine and China.

On the first leg the leader was Andriy Andriyishyn of Ukraine, on the second leg Russia took the lead and on the third leg Alexey Groshev finished first bringing gold to our team.
