Russian Deaf Curling Cup

Russian Deaf Curling Cup among men and women teams took place from November’12 till November’18 in Dmitrov, Moscow region. Athletes from 7 regions of Russia participated in it: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad regions as well as Udmurt and Tatarstan republics.

In women competitions the winners were athletes from Saint-Petersburg region, athletes from Tatarstan got the second place and team from Moscow got the third place.

In men competitions athletes from Tomsk showed the best results, silver was given to the representatives of Moscow and bronze was received by the athletes from Chelyabinsk.

The Russian Deaf Curling Cup has made possible to decide what athletes would be included in the national curling team for the Deaflympics. It will consist of 8 men and 8 women. They will be announced by the chief coach of the national team Vladimir Felde on the final meeting of the coaching staff in Moscow. Then starting from December’05 the curling players will continue their training in Sochi and in the end of January the final list of national curling team for the Deaflympics will be approved.
