Air company “UTair” has become a general partner of the XVIII Winter Deaflympics.
The Deaflympics are the sport competitions for people with hearing problems (till 2001 they were called the World Games for the Deaf). The competitions have the same status as Olympic and Paralympic games and are also held every 4 years. Competitions in 5 sport disciplines – ice hockey, alpine skiing, curling, cross-county skiing and snowboard – are included in the program of the Deaflympics. The Games will take place in 2015 in Khanty-Mansiysk. More than 450 athletes from 27 countries are expected to visit Ugra.
The president of “UTair – Passenger Airlines» Oleg Semyonov is sure that the competitions will be conducted in a high level: «The air company has a big experience in transportation of athletes. Besides, a convenient flight schedule and a vast destination network of “UTair” will allow both participants and the supporters of the Deaflympics to enjoy this mass-scale bright sport event».
The executive director of the organizing committee of the Deaflympics 2015 Spartak Antonenkov has said: «”UTair” is a reliable partner, well-know not only in Ugra but in whole Russia and abroad». Spartak Antonenkov has invited the supporters of national teams, fans of winter sports and people interested in the sport of the deaf to visit Khanty-Mansiysk and to meet a sport spring here.
The XVIII Winter Deaflympics will take place from March’28 till April’05 2015.
